The highlight for me was being able to be completely flexible with my schedule. Wake up one morning and decide to change your entire plan? No problem! No guilt, no compromise. It really forces you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new places, meet new people, and make new friends. I ended up having some of the most interesting conversations with complete strangers – you never know who you’ll meet!
It has this really cool vibe, almost like you’re on this secret adventure that no one else knows about. Just you, discovering a new city at your own pace. I loved being able to wander around without having to check in with anyone or worry about keeping up. And let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment when you navigate your way through a new place all on your own.
One thing you have to do is look into solo cabins on cruise lines. They fill up fast, but it’s so worth it to not have to pay that dreaded “single supplement” that a lot of places charge. And a lot of tour companies these days are waving the solo fee, so you can join group tours without feeling like you’re getting ripped off.
If you want to do this right, let me know – I’d be more than happy to help you plan the solo adventure of a lifetime. Time to find your true self and see the world!
